At Vesileppis, the winter is just an elevator ride away all year round. Our unique underground cross-country skiing arena, Ski Arena is the largest of its kind in the world and it lies in the bedrock, 30 meters below the hotel reception. Just the descent into the depths with an elevator is an experience! After the ride you reach the Ski Arena, where 1,1 kilometers or well-kept tracks welcome you to strut your stuff, whether you prefer classical style or skate skiing. Other activities in the Ski Arena include biathlon and Husky sledge riding.
Ski Arena is a versatile winter world. The compound consists of the actual Arena main hall and a tunnel. The total length of the skiing trail is 1,1 km and the Arena’s temperature is approx. -1 ° to -5 °C, depending on the season. Ski Arena is available for lease for sports clubs' regular practice shifts. Ski Arena features tracks for classical and skate skiers alike, but the snowy conditions can also be enjoyed without skis.
Drive a little loop with the spark or whizz across the snows in a Husky sledge ride! Biathletes have their own shooting lane inside Ski Arena as well. Please note that when the shooting lane is in use, the Ski Arena's skiing trail is a little shorter!
Snow sports equipment are available for hire at the hotel reception. Ski rental equipment includes: skis, boots, and poles.
